| Having concentrated on the training and showing of our Welsh ponies and cobs, this year we are excitedly awaiting the birth of foals! We have a Welsh Cob foal coming by Supreme Ch. and WPCSA High Score Champion Windcrest Desert Storm out of imported Menai Elena. This cross produces very typey and talented youngsters; Casmaran Contraband was Grand Champion Cob for Mary Alice at the North Carolina Gold Show his first time out in 2007 and Casmaran Ascension (aka Scooby or Ruby) in training with Suellen Mally of Dogpond Farm will be showing at the Windy Hollow Hunt Club Dressage Show in June, her first time out. As you can see we do not rush our youngsters, we want them to be both physically and mentally ready to pursue their careers which we feel extends their useful work lives. One of our ponies, shown as Treasure Me, is still teaching and showing with youngsters at 29 yrs. of age! Another showing as Magic Spell is teaching and showing at 17. We lost our oldest and dearest mare a few years ago at 34. We are also expecting three Section B Welsh foals this year. Our Bristol Serafina is expecting by Clanfair Eclipse, we believe this is a magical cross concentrating on Criban Victor thru Coed Coch Ballog. Our GlanNant Fairytale is bred to Bristol Victorio, no better breeding here! GlanNant going to Criban Victor thru Cusop Sheriff and thru Bristol Victorio, top and bottom! Our Evan's Dark Wisdom bred to Clanfair the Monarch gives us both GlanNant and Lithgow Houdini on the bottom and GlanNant, Houdini and Lithgow Wishnik on the topside. Breeding for the Welsh Breed Standard here, not some thorobred wannabe! Please visit us at www.casmaranstud.com | |
